위의 자료는 Micrisoft 공식 자료 입니다.

그러나 이상한 점이, 분명 32 Bit Windows XP 에는 최대 4 GB 라고
기술되어 있지만, 실제로 운용해 보면 3.5 GB 정도로 잡혀 있는것을
경험해 보실 수 있습니다.

이러한 현상이
BIOS 에서 장치 주소값으로 0.5 GB 예약한 값이다
PAE Parameter 기술 로 인한 메모리 할당값에 의한 것이다.
MS 에서 듣기로는 메인보드의 이상으로 생긴 일이다

위와 같이 의견이 분분하지만, 아직 해결책은 없는 것으로 되어 있습니다.

따라서, 4GB 사용자 분들이 Windows XP 를 물리 메모리 4GB 를 모두 사용
하려면 64 Bit Windows XP 사용을 권장 합니다.


단, 32 Bit Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition 또는 그 이상의 버전에서는
4GB 물리 메모리가 4GB 로 완전하게 잡힌다고 합니다.

즉, 지금까지 알려드린 4GB 인식 메모리 버그는 32 Bit Windows XP 에서만
존재한다는 것을 강력히 알려드립니다.
